This majolica charger plate is an authentic collectible piece, entirely hand-thrown and freehand-painted in the artisan workshops of Deruta, Umbria. Due to its size and ornamental nature, it is designed as a prestigious decorative element.
The decoration belongs to the iconic Bella Donna (or Piatti di Belle) style, one of the most celebrated traditions of Italian Renaissance pottery dating back to the 16th century.
In the central medallion, the plate features the idealized profile of a Renaissance noblewoman, detailed with classic garments and hairstyles of the era.

The outer rim (the tesa) features the traditional partitura a quartieri (quartered layout), a geometric radial division typical of Umbrian pottery. Inside these sections, fine scale patterns alternate with stylized foliage curls (grotesques) inspired by the classical Raphael style.
The decoration uses the historic Renaissance palette: deep cobalt blue, terracotta orange, and warm ochre.
